Houston has an amazing Children's Museum.
That's an understatement.
It is rated a 5 star nationwide museum
It is the highest attended Children's museum in the United States
(for its size-90,000 sq. ft!)
There are 13 main exhibits and an incredible outdoor water exhibit.
The kids love, love, loved it. Their excitement made it difficult to keep them together, so Rod and I often split up with one of them.
Caily was a huge fan of the science exhibits. This metal ball experiment captured her attention for quite awhile. I would have thought that this would be a little over her understanding-but she was absolutely captivated.
See? I told you!
This shape sorting machine allows you to sort and match the shapes and weight.
This ball drop was circular and had several different balls to compare the reactions. Both Caily and Grayson enjoyed this booth.
Grayson had a lot of fun having this car all to himself.
Grayson surprised me at how co-ordinated, pensive and intuitive he can be. It was really interesting to watch him explore.
This picture is my favorite from outside--but it doesn't begin to illustrate what a fun place it is. Water comes spilling down on all sides--there is room for duck races, spray gun fights, and a piping system that alows you to turn and connect pipes to direct their flow. Rod and Grayson had a bit of fun messing with it.
And probably the most entertaining part of the day, came while teaching Caily to milk the cow.

For some reason only a few of the pictures showed up. Bummer.
It looks like you had a much better day then when we went. It was so crowded it was hard to enjoy ourselves. And it was rainy so that really didn't help either. I'm glad you had such a fun, sunshiny day.
