My dad loves history. Like, really loves history. This last weekend I took him to a civil war walking tour downtown.
It was a gorgeous day and there were a lot of people there. We got to go in some really beautiful restored old buildings and hear stories about Cincinnati during the Civil War. I thought it was really interesting to learn that we had the first Steam Fire Engine, and a large musket producing factory along the river. Although recognition goes elsewhere, Cincinnati had the first Black Regiment to fight under the flag while being paid. It was interesting to try to imagine how things once were here. 
I won't tell you all the neat stories-It'll spoil their business! But I had a fun time with my dad.
